# Closing Tasks For a Coffee Shop

Tasks to complete when closing a coffee shop for the day.

- [ ] Check all product to make sure nothing is expiring tonight. If so, add it to the waste log and remove.
- [ ] Clean the coffee brewer and the coffee airpots.
- [ ] Clean the espresso machine and ancillary pieces.
- [ ] Clean all the dishes.
- [ ] Clean all the counters, including under fixtures and displays.
- [ ] Wipe out the fridge and make sure there are no spills.
- [ ] Clean the tables in the seating area and put the chairs up on the table.
- [ ] Sweep and mop both the front and back of the house, hanging the mop to dry afterwards.
- [ ] Empty your 3 compartment sink and make sure it's clean.
- [ ] Record any wasted product from the day in the nightly waste log.
- [ ] Count down the cash drawer and put together the deposit as needed.
- [ ] Leave any communication for the morning crew where they will quickly find it.
- [ ] Stock any products that are low.
- [ ] Turn off any equipment that needs to be turned off and shut off the lights before leaving.
- [ ] Lock up!
