# Get Ready For a Long Run

Prepare gear, snacks and water for a long run out in the countryside.

- [ ] Double-check that your watch is fully charged.
- [ ] Prepare running gear including shoes, top, shorts, socks.
- [ ] Pack snacks such as energy bars, fruit, or nuts.
- [ ] Fill water bottles and/or hydration pack with enough water.
- [ ] Double-check that your phone is fully charged.
- [ ] Inform someone of your running route and estimated return time for safety purposes.
- [ ] If it’s sunny, make sure you have sunglasses, cap and suncream.
- [ ] If it’s cold, make sure you have gloves, buff and a suitable windproof/waterproof.
- [ ] If it’s wet, make sure you have a waterproof and gloves.
- [ ] Make sure you have a map and compass.
- [ ] Check the weather forecast for the running route.
- [ ] Plan a route on Komoot and make sure it’s available on your watch.
